The last time it is repeated is the part you want to use. For example, a voiceover is recorded, and the last phrase is repeated several times. In Audition 1.5, in the Edit Window, you can find an edit point, left click the mouse, and drag and highlight as you move to the left, highlighting a selection, while at the same time hitting the space bar to listen to the point at which you're dragging the new start point of the highlighted area. I had the same thing happen today, so I figured I had better pick-the brains of the Gifted Minds in this forum to find a permanent solution. Well, four hours of all of those semantics and frustration found that System Restore done the trick. I checked drivers, done this and that and scanned forums and tried everything but… System Restore, so I did. No sound on my recorded playback, no sound I Tunes, and I even tried YouTube…NADA I hit play on my Cassette deck, and recorded in Audition anyway- It ended, I saved it-then- No sound.

Audition said to Choose Options> Windows Recording Mixer//I did, and it rejected the command. Well, I ran a line from my cassette deck earphone jack, to the line-in jack in the back of my PC. I probably have much more than I need, and definitely have much more than I understand.

My op system is Windows 7, 64 bit, and the person that built my PC said that he installed the necessary hardware for great recording. I was elated when I read on e-how, how-to do it, but sadly, it seems something was missing. I am finally cleaning house and converting some of my cassettes to wave or MP3 files, and yes, I still have cassettes.

I am fearing the worst, that either the software needs reinstalled (no one knows where the discs are), or the hard drive in the production computer is starting to fail (old Dell computer). 12 file extension, unless you manually tell it to save as *.mp3 (trying to idiot-proof file saving for mp3s!). On a side note, when we save files now, we don't get the standard "mp3" option, we only get the "mp3PRO" option, which saves to a. I sense that there is some kind of "ratio" being kicked in by some setting somewhere else that I'm not seeing. Perhaps these options have gotten changed (causing the issue)? I also read somewhere about there could be something fouled in the Multitrack settings, but didn't see that as a problem when clicking on a specific track.
I am not in front of that computer right now (Internet issues at work!), but currently, Audition 1.5 is showing us options for Stretch underneath what the picture of Stretch looks like from the webpage below: I tested this with both wav and mp3 files, so I can't exactly figure out why this is happening. Here's the issue:įor example, if we have a commercial that actually runs 31 seconds, and we use the Stretch feature to cut (or shrink down?) the commercial to, say, 29.75 seconds (for precision, since we run satellite programming), the ad always defaults to a number somewhere around 29.13. It was up until a few days ago, but isn't now haven't been able to find a solution via Google or here on the forums. At the radio station where I work, the Stretch feature is not working properly. Have a weird issue with a licensed version of Adobe Auditon.
